well, besides just getting everything running perfectly on QT4 and KDE4 without depending on compatibility libs, a lot of work will go into improving the context area which has been moved to the center, as well as building a new kind of columnless playlist. Actually both these things are have been accepted as Google summer of code projects.

The new context view is based on QT4's GraphicsView class and allows for some really sweet eyecandy! :-)

Personally I am, as always, working on integrating interesting and friendly online services directly into Amarok. Besides several improvements to the Magnatune store, I am currently working on a Jamendo.com service. Also, to make this work much simpler, I am trying to build sort of a generic framework for adding this kind of service, and I have quite a few other services in mind that I might take a look at.

Of course there is lots of other exiting stuff going on as well, and new ideas a proposed all the time.

Yes.

And on the other hand, it is just one screenshot. I will get amaroK 2.0 on my Linux as soon as J. Ridell packs it for Kubuntu, and i\\\\\\\'ll get it for Windows as soon as there is something to get :)

What other features are planned?

The screenshot shows the current development state of the Amarok 2 GUI. It is currently changing very rapidly, so it is a bit early for liking ot not liking it :-) Also, in the screenshot shown, there are 2 collections browsers and 2 context views, an old a a new one of each. Of course the old ones will dissapear before we get even close to a release!
